Training Method Chest – Issue XXIX in Dominican Republic

Wednesday April 8 began the XXIX Course Training Method Chest Canine Search and Detection (people buried) in the municipality of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. This course, taught by members of the Canine Rescue Unit Fire States, will end on May 8 with a total duration of 250 hours of lessons. With this training culminates the project “Kilometers of Cooperation”, which thanks to the combined efforts of Juanma Arrazola and all those who assisted him, will enable the consolidation of the Canine Rescue Unit of United Firefighters in Dominican Republic . This course has the support of the municipality of Santo Domingo East Fire States and Dominican Republic.
Santo Domingo to five members of our organization belonging to the Canine Rescue Unit Fire Service of the City of Huelva, which kicked off the course on April 8, before the official opening ceremony with the authorities moved to be held in the coming days.
In these first days they have begun demanding lectures, evolving agenda concerning the basic and specific vocabulary, basic introduction to the “Method Chest,” as well as exposure of the different phases of training method.
In turn it has also begun field work with various canine units that will work during the course. Two copies are currently in phase fluidization behavior and strengthening work. Two other units are already working on signaling phase (first phase of training Method Chest). And with two other copies, which became operational in the first phase of this project to create Rescue Dog Unit in Dominican Republic, will begin in the coming days a specific job search in adverse factors.
This course is part of the project to strengthen and reducing vulnerability to major disasters in the Dominican Republic, which began in 2012, and also allow, with our headquarters and Canine Canine Units of Nicaragua and Peru, giving coverage and response immediately in a large area of ​​South America and the Caribbean.
